Convenience store and gas station to join recently announced apartment community at 100-acre mixed-use Downtown Nexton
CHARLESTON, SC – February 17, 2022 – Sharbell Nexton, LLC announced today plans for Daybreak Market & Fuel in Downtown Nexton, the urban-inspired mixed-use community serving the growing number of residents in Nexton and the surrounding region.
Prairie Village, Kansas-based developer Plaza Street Partners recently closed on the 1.62 acres and expects to break ground in Q2 2022 with an expected opening date in early 2023. Daybreak Market will be the operator. The group currently operates a number of locations across Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
Offering high-quality service, the 4,800 square-foot large-format convenience store will feature a selection of fresh and pre-made food items, on-the-go options and other essentials.
“The addition of a modern convenience store to Downtown Nexton will provide residents of The Ames apartments and nearby employees with a full selection of options including high-quality prepared foods and other essentials,” said Sharbell President Thomas Troy. “Accessibility and ease are cornerstones of a successful mixed-use community, and this new amenity will deliver the kind of urban lifestyle advantage residents of Downtown Nexton want.”
“We are excited about the opportunity to develop another fantastic location for our client, Daybreak Market,” said Plaza Street Partners President Bret Elliott. “We believe their high-quality convenience stores and level of service will be an excellent addition to the overall development.”
Situated on nearly 100 acres between Sigma Drive and Brighton Park Boulevard, Downtown Nexton will provide retail, dining, hospitality, residential, service, office and commercial options within walking distance of many of Nexton’s neighborhoods. In addition to Daybreak Market, Downtown Nexton’s first phase will include an apartment community, a mixed-use building with loft apartments above ground-level retail and several outparcels.
